Fiber Cable

Fiber Optic Cable is plastic or glass fiber that transmits light across its length in order to pass a video signal over a greater distance and at higher bandwidths than traditional video cables. With today’s robust video installations, DVI or HDMI Extender is typically the best connection type for longer distance DVI and HDMI applications. These HDMI fiber and DVI Fiber Optic Cables support high HDTV video resolutions up to 1080p and PC video up to 1920x1200 without pixilation or degradation. Both cable types have DVI and HDMI connectors integrated onto the ends which convert the digital video signals to optical light pulses that are transmitted across the fiber optic cable. Key advantages of fiber optic cables are their resistance to EMI (electromagnetic interference) and the ability for the signals to travel with much less loss.
