KVM switch also known as keyboard video mouse switch is designed to allow network and data center administrators efficiently and securely manage their information. Rackmount KVM switch lets you connect many computers and control them all via a single connected keyboard, video display and mouse. The KVM switch is available in many shapes, sizes and designs. The popular PS2 KVM switch is slowly being replaced by the USB KVM switch which in turn is being replaced by our much more efficient Cat5 KVM switch. This switch has all the features of a standard KVM switch, but allows for mixing PS/2, USB & SUN systems with multi-platform capability. This server switch uses specialized dongles that connect the various systems with ordinary Cat5 UTP cabling. Other features of the KVM switch include KVM over IP that gives you the ability to access your computers from anywhere through a secure browser, and the KVM matrix switch which lets multiple users connect to multiple systems.
