KVM Drawer allows network administrators to minimize space used by a keyboard, video and mouse (KVM) by integrating these three pieces of hardware into a compact sliding unit, also known as a Rack Monitor, which fits into 1U or 2U of rack space. As the Rackmount KVM Console Drawer evolved, it has become available with many options and styles and is built to be compatible with a variety of systems, including Windows, SUN, Dell, UNIX, and Linux. The KVM Drawer features a flip up LCD monitor available with 15”, 17”, or 19” screens, either a USB or PS2 keyboard and a touchpad or trackball mouse. There are many styles of rackmount keyboard LCD with a variety of video connection types including, VGA, DVI, Composite RCA and BNC, and S-Video.
